For the longest time I’ve wanted to get my hands on some Jeffree Star cosmetics lipsticks. I follow Jeffree on instagram, which is just a world of inspiration. He makes me want to have beatuifully coloured hair and lips to match. Finally being in a position to splurge a little cash, I plucked up the courage and got two Velour Liquid Lipstick colours from She Lives Cruelty Free.
When they arrived, I was so excited to open them up and see what they looked like on! After admiring the packaging with my workmates, then -of course- swatching the colours on my arm, with plenty of oohs-and-aahs, I popped on Celebrity Skin and fell instantly in love.
The applicator is not one I’ve used much before, it’s a doefoot applicator – which is a name I didn’t know of before reading Cass’ blog – Thanks Cass! So, the first time applying the liquid lipstick I was pleased that it went on smooth, easily and not that bumpy looking along the lip line!
The colour pay off is great. When putting on both colours for the first time I was actually a bit worried as the colour going on as they both seemed to go on dark. Both colours warm up on my lips when drying to their matte finish to give off an amazing amount of colour. My favourite of the two I purchased is Celebrity Skin, probably because I’m still taking my time coming round to wearing lipstick all the time.
These are the most comfortable matte lipsticks I’ve tried. Some out there are quite dry and make my lips feel like I need a huge dose of moisturiser right on them. These Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks feel great on, and last a really good amount of time. I needed to reapply after eating, which I was totally fine with because I know I can’t eat daintily enough to not mess up my lippy!

I had so much fun taking these photos, I was frolicking around my house trying to get the last of the afternoon light. Such is bloggers life… But editing them to match was a little difficult, I feel like they
Have you tried any Jeffree Star lipsticks? Which colours are your favourites? I’m already eyeing up I’m Royalty, but I’m not sure I could pull that off
