Smoothies are still one of my favourite types of breakfast. I’m not a big one for cereal or hot cooked breakfasts, I would much rather skip it and go straight to lunch or brunch, in saying that, smoothies are an eye opener for me at breakfast time. They also make great afternoon snacks if you need to have something to keep you going!
I made this smoothie in my new George Foreman Mix & Go Pro which has a pre-set smoothie setting on it to help make the perfect smoothie. This powerful blender makes light work of ingredients, blending quickly and efficiently. It also fits my original Mix & Go bottles so I can make single serve smoothies – awesome!
Green Smoothie Recipe
The recipe I’m sharing today is actually from George Foreman, so I take no credit but it was too good not to share!
1/2 cup pineapple
1/2 cup green grapes
1/2 green apple / pear
1 cup coconut water
This is for one serving, if you want larger serving simply double the ingredients.
- Cut pineapple and apple into cubes.
- Place apple/pear, pineapple, coconut water, grapes and spinach in blender in that order.
- Use auto smoothie function on the Mix and Go Pro, or blend for 15-30 until smooth and well combined.
This smoothie is really delicious, the coconut water is balanced out perfectly with pineapple and the pear and grapes fill it out so it keeps you fuller for longer!
