Since Stonegrill was launched in New Zealand twenty years ago, it’s unique method of cooking has grown to be a popular (what I like to call) destination dish. It’s something you don’t have often, but you make the trip especially for it because it’s so good, and can’t be forgotten.
I was invited along to celebrate Stonegrill’s 20th birthday in style at Basalt Restaurant in Howick last month – I thoroughly enjoyed myself along with other bloggers like Sweet Mama M, PlanetBakeLife, In Rhi’s Pantry and Jordanne Leigh.
We all had a great time learning about Stonegrill’s journey, and then we sat down and enjoyed an amazing Stonegrill meal, followed by dessert – a truly special celebration!
I ordered ‘The Grill’, pictured above, which came with Chicken, Lamb, Pork, and Beef and seasonal vegetables. Needless to say I was full after attempting to eat all of this!
Even after all of that food we enjoyed some of Basalts desserts. I was lucky enough to grab a bite of everyones – all were so tasty!
